In the mail, I received two copies of the journal that contains my first full article in a scientific journal. The paper is glossy and pretty. Okay, despite all my comments about how research isn't worth all the work that goes into just getting the name on a paper, I have to admit its a pretty nice looking paper.
Knowledge of a computer program that I used in my old lab became very helpful in my new lab today.
Today in the lab, we set up video and audio files [or attempted to... a few technological bugs to work out] for my upcoming research project. Playing with drums, cymbals, and recording devices is fun.
I got a nap.
Wonderful people through freecycle.org gave me 3 bags of paper bags and two bags full of tissue paper. This will help with some of my repair projects. They gain space, and I get stuff for free, both sides win. YaY!
I get to tickle spudzilla's rats today.
I got to do a nice gaming scene online today (something that I've missed since I used to be able to do them more frequently).
I got quite a bit done today, including using up 1 tube of caulk, 1 tube of liquid nails, and some carpet cleaning. Of course, this is also my little way of avoiding grading...
The roofers did actually show up on time (for the first time), even if they didn't complete all the things they were supposed to. This time it was the company owner who didn't show up for the final walkthrough...

Congratulations!
I know the feeling myself, and I can imagine how proud you are. Well done. You've earned it. Now get back out there and publish again. ;)
